PLACE designed a landscape scheme for Stoke Newington School, which is part of the Building Schools for the Future programme. The landscape concept complements the new entrance building, a bold, three-storey block, with a well-defined and landscaped entrance plaza, which gives a clear and welcoming approach to students, staff and visitors. The strong perimeter landscaping is secure yet attractive, and there is plenty of cycle storage and seating provided.

The landscape plan gives the series of courtyards a distinct character and purpose; the design scheme also provides a teaching science garden, productive growing areas, a wildlife habitat area and a range of games courts and play areas.
